Matthew Reid
Matthew Reid has been playing the piano and composing music since he was
a kid.

Some say that he enjoys these activities, but it's still up in the air. He studied music composition with some of Canada's most esteemed composers at the University of Toronto's Faculty of music. He has composed music for film, television and the concert hall. Apart from brief stints with such bands as The Satanatras (keys), Darryl Silver and the Fairview Mall Security Experience (keys) and Magnificent Octopus (saxophone), he has worked as a solo artist. Currently, he spends a lot of time working as a musical director for Toronto's Second City and the Humber School of Comedy. Examples of his compositions can be found at

He is also a member of the Canadian Comedy award nominated sketch duo "Reid Along with Browning". You can read about them at: http://www.reidalongwithbrowning.com

It is Matt's lifelong dream to appear on "Behind the Music" and talk about his lifelong struggle with addiction, or maybe just talk about how much he likes ducks.

Andrew Buntain
Andrew Buntain has been playing bass for over 15 years. He began playing in his high school stage band, where he worked in jazz and funk stylings to go with his original love of progressive music. In 1995, he suffered an accident which resulted in several cuts to his left hand, requiring plastic surgery and nerve damage repair. Dejected, he left the bass alone for almost two years - but he never stopped listening. A good friend got him to appreciate his own talent once again, so Andrew went back to the instrument with renewed determination to become the best bass player anyone could ask for. Today, Andrew is in great demand for live projects and studio sessions. He keeps a solid groove and is well-known for his slap bass and tapping work.

AJ LeDuc
A.J. LeDuc is a unique percussionist in the sense that he is not stupid. That’s a joke. He actually is stupid. But, the boy can play. His style can be aggressive and driving, laid back and moody, funky, jazzy, or whatever is required. When playing, his objective is to draw out the best performances from the other musicians, and to make the others bring out the best in him. "I really like Michael Gabriel’s latest project. It’s eclectic, challenging material that, when done properly, is a joy to play and to listen to. And, best of all, the musicianship in this group is phenomenal. There’s nothing better than good musicians getting together to play good music. Check it out and see." A.J. has played in numerous projects throughout Ontario, Florida, and Washington, D.C. He currently resides in Toronto.
